One day at work I literally had the thought that I should make another cup of coffee to calm my nerves before a presentation. Then I thought about how dumb that is, and did it anyways.
Did it work? Asking for a friend.
It, in fact, did not calm my nerves. I got through it though!
I was in bad shape either way, at least I got that smooth robust flavor.
9/10 would do again.
‘Smooth Robust Flavor’.
I feel like you could have a pretty good advertising campaign bringing back Joe Camel and having him sell coffee and you’d barely have to change anything at all.
Glad you did!
Yesterday, i pressed the wrong buttons and ended up with a latte without coffee. So i decided to add a double espresso, instead of “boring” coffee.
I definitely got the other, rather hard, robust flavor and my senses only stopped tingling after i had drunk at least a bottle of water afterwards.
Sounds like your work doesn’t provide shitty coffee. Lucky.
Caffeine addiction is so normalized that we seldom think in the moment about if caffeine makes our anxiety worse - we just want to not be so tired
At my work, I frequently have to get on an order picker and go like 16’ in the air to get down shower pieces, and if I’ve had a bunch of caffeine it makes me far more anxious about the whole thing. I love caffeine as much as the next guy but it is really bad for anxiety.
I always drink enough coffee so that my anxiety turns into existential dread.
3 coffees no lunch gang checking in
L-Theanin is a game changer if you get anxiety on caffeine.
Absolutely unreal gear. Just smoothes the jitters right out.
HAHAHA
Tweek Tweak behavior lol
For those interested, enough caffeine to kill a horse is greater than that for a human. This is assumed to be true, but here are some sources.
A fatal dose for an average adult is about 10g.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caffeine#OverdoseThis source investigated caffeine intoxication of horses. There were days where the horses consumed more than 10g, they had symptoms that were alleviated once their source of caffeine was removed.
https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC3317824/I am like 2 horses :3
When I am pulling 12 hours I use about 500-600mg of the stuff
As of like a week ago caffeine has started making me extremely wired and restless. I don’t know what happened, I just cannot handle the same amounts I used to take just 2 weeks ago. Which sucks because that’s how I had enough energy after work.
