It reminds me of the analogy of dragons who kept all the treasures in a cave and took more and more from the weak and simple creatures. In the end, all the treasures and rare resources were nothing more than decoration for the lair and the status of the dragon itself.
But in general, it’s not that simple, these monsters seem to have planned to commit something terrible, for example, to arrange something like 1984, only with an AI judge, an AI zookeeper, an AI ideal employee, etc. Well, so to speak, to arrange technofeudalism.
