More likely “I took advantage of the working class and now rent it two thirds of everyone’s income and I own a bottomless pit of their debts”
Of course, that was how his father and ancestors got their wealth, this is just how the billionaire failson earned his.
Yes, also you don’t have to go far back at all to find ancestors who just murdered people and stole their land and stuff.
My buddy made a small fortune racing cars. Before he died, he told me the secret. Start with a big fortune.
What was that quote behind every great wealth hides a great crime
pic is gone and now i feel left out. lol
oh here’s the transcription
A reporter asks a billionaire how he earned his wealth.
The billionaire’s response was: A long time ago, I had absolutely nothing but a penny. So I took that penny and bought a pencil from the corner store and then sold it to my classmate for two cents.
Then again, I bought two pencils, sold them for four cents. Two became four, four became eight, then sixteen, then thirty-two… until I had $20.48.
That’s when my father had a massive heart attack, and I inherited $47 billion.
i feel sorry for the people who believe that fuck-em-all money is achievable whenever i hear/read their testimonials of their future plans and i wish i could point them to something like this in the hopes of splashing them w reality.
A lot of people really do have a gambler mindset where they think that they just need to get lucky and then they’ll be fine. And they just base everything on the assumption that they’re going to be one of the tiny percentage of people who make it.
if only these people would talk to each other because they’re a huge majority of the people out there.
I suspect a lot of it comes down to capitalist realism. People know the system is rigged, that their life sucks, and that voting is just theatre. Thinking that you’re going to win the lottery becomes a coping mechanism.
I assume it ended with “that’s when my dad had a massive heart attack and i inherited all my wealth”
Elmo bio?
To be hinest, if they found a way to extract 100% profit margin at any volume (double their investment), they’d be at 50B fairly quickly. They need just a few more pencil resale cycles. 😂
