and they’re probably highly illegal pretty much everywhere because they stop speed and red light cameras working and that’s exactly their marketed purposes

a bridge is a tool for use by people wishing to cross an otherwise difficult to cross span… the purpose of that crossing - including things like recreation - shouldn’t dictate if their crossing should be allowed or not

it’s not technically legal afaik… the license defines a user pretty rigorously
the only acceptable voting machine is 1 that prints a ballot paper to submit so you can verify your vote
they can total the results and heck imo even perhaps have some kind of network to keep a running tally! but that tally is only for preliminary results: it’s not the source of truth, and thus not worth tampering with
i’m pro-AI (with huuuuge caveats) but i disagree with this… AI reduces certain jobs in a similar way, but it also enables large scale manipulation and fucks with our thought processes on a large scale
i’d say it’s like if a mechanised weaving loom also invented the concept of disinformation and propaganda
… but also, mechanised weaving loom effected a single industry: modern ML has the potential to effect the large majority of people: it’s on a different scale than the disruption of the textile industry

there are lots of different covers for license plates which block photography only, and allow humans to see the plate. i’m not sure how all of them work
