  • The West also pledged to respect Ukraine’s sovereignty. They broke that pledge first in 2004 when they instigated the first color revolution in Ukraine, then again when they orchestrated the 2014 coup. Interference in another country’s politics is a violation of sovereignty. Everything Russia did followed as a result of that. Ukraine lost its sovereignty in 2014 when it became a NATO-US puppet. There was no sovereignty left for Russia to violate.

Russia had a humanitarian duty to intervene to stop the attack on the Donbass.

    Ukraine never had nukes.

  • The illegitimate post-2014 Kiev regime changed the Ukrainian constitution to include an explicit statement of intent to join NATO. NATO has been courting Ukraine since at least 2008. NATO pumped Ukraine full of weapons and military training. The anti-Russian Neo-Nazi junta that illegally seized control of the country after the Maidan coup severed trade and diplomatic ties with Russia in favor of NATO and the EU. Kiev agreed to host NATO troops and bases on Ukrainian territory. All of this happened before Russia intervened in 2022. All of these constitute a violation of their neutrality pledge.

  • Ukraine was constitutionally and treaty-bound to neutrality. That was one of the conditions for their independence. They violated that condition in 2014 when they decided to become an anti-Russia NATO proxy. They invaded and bombed the Donbass republics which declared independence following an illegal and unconstitutional Nazi coup in 2014. They took away the constitutionally protected status of the Russian language and have systematically repressed its use and persecuted its speakers.

Russia acted strictly according to international law fulfilling their humanitarian obligation to protect the people of the Donbass from genocide, who were under attack and formally requested Russia’s assistance according to the legal right to collective self-defense enshrined in article 51 of the UN charter.

  • The US and UK spent decades preparing the ground in Ukraine. Since the end of WWII they were involved in funding the stay-behind Nazi insurgency, then incubating the current incarnation of Ukrainian nationalism in the diaspora in the US and Canada since the 80s, then taking advantage of the chaos of the dissolution of the USSR in the 90s to infiltrate these groups into Ukraine and slowly push them to the forefront over two decades by indoctrinating the youth. It took them two separate color revolutions to do it.

And they didn’t start from nothing. Before WWII, the Germans, and before them the Austrians, had been building the Ukrainian nationalist idea in West Ukraine as a foil first against the Russian Empire then against the USSR. It took the West over a hundred years to turn Ukrainians against their own brothers, and they only managed to do it because of pre-existing ethnic divisions and because of unique historical and geographical conditions.

They could dangle the EU carrot to seduce them, they could funnel money and infiltrate weapons and radicalized extremists via the land border. Those conditions just don’t exist in Mongolia. Everything would have to come either through Russia or China or be flown in. What can the US possibly offer Mongolia? What ethnic tension or history of radicalism is there for them to exploit? Can this country survive if it antagonizes its neighbors?

Look at the demographics and economy: Mongolia has only 3.5 million people (for comparison that is less than Georgia, which once picked a fight with Russia and lost the war in 7 days). Half of them live in the capital. For the rest of the country the population density is extremely low. At least a third live as nomads or semi-nomads.

90% of their exports go to China. 80% of their exports come from the mining sector. They do not have a large and advanced industrial manufacturing sector as Ukraine once did. Most of their energy comes from Russia. Unlike Ukraine they have neither ports nor land border with Western powers through which to import substitutes for Russian energy.

Most of the country is steppe or desert. The conditions for cultivation are not great, so their agriculture sector consists mostly of livestock and herding. Hence the country depends on food imports. Even if a very pro-Western government is in power, they have no choice but to maintain decent relations with their neighbors.

Don’t make the mistake of thinking, as the neocons do, that the US is all-powerful and has unlimited resources. They don’t. There are very real limits on their power and those limits are growing as their relative power in the world declines, especially compared to China.

  • Very unlikely. They can try to increase funding to NGOs and influence the outcome of the next elections maybe, but realistically they are quite limited in what they can do there. The country is just too closely tied culturally and historically to Russia and China, its only neighbors. And with no access to the sea it would be suicide for Mongolia to alienate both of them. Not to mention that the amount of economic influence that Russia and China can exert there if they really want to is always going to be greater than what the US can do, simply due to geography. Mongolia is a perfect buffer state for both Russia and China and it’s in both their interests to maintain good relations.

There is also the problem that Mongolia has a fairly western style liberal political system which makes it hard for the West’s propaganda machine to find something to demonize and rile people up against. No major ethnic or religious conflicts to exploit either and very little historical grievances, and no big diaspora in the West which could be radicalized and sent back as a fifth column.

  • These are people who burn olive groves to make it impossible for Palestinians to live on their own land. Who go with assault rifles up to unarmed Palestinians, threaten them, assault them, kick them out of their homes to steal them and live in them. They are people who protest when the government tries to prosecute prison guards who rape Palestinian prisoners to death. They are people who share with each other videos of Palestinians being murdered as a form of entertainment. They post pictures of dead Palestinians to laugh and mock. They are people who not only feel safe but completely unashamed to say openly on TV and on social media that Palestinian babies should be killed before they grow up. They are people who go to loot aid trucks, to burn and destroy food for Gaza so that more Gazans will starve do death, and when they do this they take their children with them so that the children can joyfully participate in this “family activity”. This is not the government doing this, it is regular “civilians”.

The start of deprogramming them would be to give them an unfiltered look at Gaza.

They have an unfiltered look at Gaza, that’s the point. The IOF are the ones proudly filming themselves committing atrocities, looting and blowing up homes, sniping women and children, desecrating mosques, churches, even graves, and then they share and post these videos for Israeli society to see and cheer and celebrate and feel proud of what they are doing. Giving them a tour of a concentration camp where they tortured and murdered Palestinians is like giving them a victory lap.

I repeat: They see what they are doing and they like what they are seeing. They feel justified and righteous, and even the ones who are not openly celebrating it, or who feel somewhat squeamish and prefer not to look, are still happy that it is happening because it brings them one step closer to the complete ethnic cleansing and theft of the entire land of Palestine that they believe is their God given right.

And yes this is a product of propaganda. Generations of propaganda that has produced an entire society of sadistic, genocidal psychopaths. But it’s not just the government. It starts in the home. It starts in the schools. And in the religious institutions. And the media. The entire society from top to bottom feeds them from birth with genocidal dehumanizing hate for Palestians and for Muslims as a whole, with racist supremacist propaganda, with the messianic “Greater Israel” narrative, and with a cult of perpetual victimhood that justifies any and all genocidal acts as “self-defense”.

The first step isn’t to show them what they already support and know is happening (many of them having participated in it themselves). The first step is to comprehensively defeat them and dismantle the entire genocidal project.

  • His rating is irrelevant, he can hold on to power indefinitely as long as he controls the security apparatus. Even if he allows elections which is highly unlikely, it is very easy to rig them given how nearly the entire state apparatus is under their control. So i don’t think this is why he’s doing it.

A more likely explanation for me is that this is a way of further dialing up the pressure on the Europeans, threatening to unleash a wave of migration that the already strained societies in Europe, already on the brink of economic crisis and with their own social tensions brewing, cannot afford. It’s a form of blackmail so they continue to give him a blank check.

He also knows that most of the forcefully mobilized, with rock bottom motivation and nearly non-existent training, are virtually useless at the front as anything but fodder to sit in trenches.

Worse still, this is exactly the demographic that if pushed to the brink could unleash massive protests, and, if too many of them are mobilized at once, meaning faster than they can be broken and brainwashed by the prevailing Nazi culture in the army, there is also a real threat that they could start a cascade of mutinies.

Further, there are also no jobs and no prospects for these people now which makes them even more of a powderkeg, so it is safer to unload them on the Europeans.

His only hope is for the Europeans to put boots on the ground and send their actual militaries, because that is the only way to replenish his now all but depleted stock of real, professional soldiers. He needs to continue to find ways to drag Europe deeper and deeper into the conflict.

  • A lot of them simply haven’t actually seen what is happening or they think it’s all lies.

Unfortunately that is not true. The problem is that they do see it, and they like it. They applaud it, they get off on it.

They organize parties to watch the bombings, they have hundreds of telegram channels proudly sharing some of the most horrific and psychopathic atrocities and congratulating themselves for it. They are ecstatic about how much terror and death and suffering they are inflicting. Genocidal rhetoric is completely and totally normalized in the “Israeli” mainstream. And that’s only the tip of the iceberg compared to what is shared and expressed in private.

This is not a society that is unaware of what is happening. This is a society that knows exactly what it is doing, loves it, and in a bloodthirsty frenzy cheers for more, demands more. Even the Germans knew, despite their weaselly denials and claims of ignorance after the war, what was happening. It is impossible that they didn’t know, but at least back then their denials could be spun as semi-believable because there were no videos and livestreams of the atrocities. There is no such plausible denial today.
