High intensity discharge lamps are awesome, can confirm. I miss when streetlamps were still HPS/LPS and mercury vapor, the lighting felt a lot more comforting than the harsh LEDs used nowadays.

Making the internet as easily accessible and dumbed down as possible didn’t help. It let stupid people easily find each other and reinforce each other’s beliefs while isolating themselves from reality.
The terrorists ended up winning the long game in the end. They caused America to tear itself apart from within and made it a pariah on the world stage.

Fucking, when done righteously, is a chore like any other.
Especially when it’s your day off but your brain doesn’t immediately realize that. Then you’re stuck wide awake and can’t get back to sleep.
And the Trans-Siberian railway has existed for years, is thousands of miles long in awful conditions, AND electrified. We don’t have an excuse.
Or keep a backup savestate just in case.
