I actually think that BL1 still had the absolute best special weapons. They always felt like a treat to discover and had a joy with the mechanics that you wanted to try them out even if you only got it cause a blind man was hanged.
I just miss the fun set design of the first 2 games. Its more linear paths than you would expect but they had a lot of verticality and a usually fun loop.
When i played BL3 i realized they just made big empty spaces and told you it was fun to constantly drive back and forth between the minor sidequests that felt like they tried to hard to make “quirky” that fricking city map was just so boring.
People love an easy answer to excuse why they can treat someone else with less care or not listen to them as if they are already wrong. We love the little lies that make life easier. Its far less effort needed than trying to understand.
Yes.
The rich used to take the same transport as the rest of us. They could be in a separate car on the train but they were still attached. Then they got automobiles and could drive on their own and we built highways to connect their favorite places. But can only get so far and planes were invented. Now they are stuck with the poors again but up in first class.
Now they have private jets and all the roads full of the regular people, the trains and the planes. They remote in or call in from their cellphone instead of being in the actual office.
The wealthy dont live like the rest of us anymore. And their social group is much more carefully curated to not let us in. They dont want to know regular people.
Little Shop of Horrors.
You can see the name of the store is Mushniks
I had that happen after I told the IT manager who always showed up drunk that his flash drives weren’t working because he couldn’t expect to buy an 8 pack of 1TB flash drives of amazon for $30 and that he was at worst handing out viruses.
I also told the interns to demand full time positions for doing all the work and not be taken advantage of so that didn’t help with the HR director.
Eh. By now I’m pretty sure most people just interact with the internet in order to reconfirm their already held beliefs because they expect the algorithm to give them exactly what they want and a few “wrong” things to dunk on easily for bonus points.
They don’t need sources they are already right.
Golf Club Nostalgia(917 Reviews)
This is a game that isn’t here for the game play. I think if you are paying at all attention to the boring dystopia, or climate collapse communities then this will hit in a way that is hard to define.
Its a golf game. Simple, could be played on a phone really, but you have to have the sound on for this one.
You are a member of the elite refugees who have fled to Mars and only return back to Earth to use the husk of a planet for a round of golf. And your companion is a lone radio broadcast from Mars of what they have left, which is stories and the rare music that was saved.
The combination of overwhelmingly good world building and consistent vibe even down to the level names and journal entries hits like a train and made me cry at least a couple times.
It made me feel nostalgiac for a world that has not yet come to pass and is a great on sale pick.
