So is windows for most users. I technically have so many windows licences that I don’t use because the system has long ago been wiped…
There used to be a big movement to get windows refunded if you didn’t use it. I think you could get 20 euros if you managed to jump through all the hoops. And I’m not even sure it’s still possible.

The problem is that the purpose of Anubis was to make crawling more computationally expensive and that crawlers are apparently increasingly prepared to accept that additional cost. One option would be to pile some required cycles on top of what’s currently asked, but it’s a balancing act before it starts to really be an annoyance for the meat popsicle users.

Lol. As if. MS has been predatory and nasty during all its existence. Even during the MS DOS days, it pulled some incredibly shady stuff against DR DOS, and it’s only gotten worse since then.
I find linux to usually be logical. In windows everything appears to be completely random.
It has a lot to do with familiarity, but design choices also play a part.
