        Depends. We need to hunt them because our forefathers killed all natural predators.

        Reintroducing predators would be the best thing, but until then we have to eat them ourselves until we have enough predators.

        But not too much, otherwise some company might monetize it.

            If we don’t keep the “prey animal” population constant, they would multiply to the point where nature can’t keep up with growing plants, so the animals would eat all the plants, making the land completely devote of life. Take a look at https://www.nps.gov/yell/learn/nature/upload/2023-Wolf-Report-final_web.pdf for example.

            Balance is key. Right now it is not.
