Ignoring the whole sides thing, this would make for a pretty cool movie. I think the US could be taken down a peg or two at this point.
In regards to Cuba, the US was begging to be brought down a peg. I do believe Cuba being America’s biggest Cold War embarrassment is the only reason they still have such steep sanctions.
