      Given that one of the main defining things of fascism is a personality cult, yes it’s an indicator for sure.

        It isn’t a defining fascism feature of fascism, as it can apply to populism, dictatorships and whatever else that features great manning of leaders. Hell, even democrat candidates, given the “political culture” of US have cults of personality form around them.

            It isn’t, fascism is a defense mechanism of capitalists when their system meets an existential crisis (eg worker militancy) and liberal democracy is no longer capable of maintaining class domination.

            Great manning of leaders, nationalism and so on is just liberalism, though more of a superfluous aesthetic rather than core ideological tenet
