I literally drive 80km yesterday to turn off and on a fiber converter that the client assured me he had already turned off and on.

I once drove 6 hours (3 to get there and 3 to get back) to turn a printer off and then on again for a customer who refused to touch it at all.

I even told him I’d charge him the emergency rate and for a minimum of 8 hours. He was undeterred. It was easy money, but that day trip SUCKED.

Had a tech drive an hour and half to a site where the onsite staff couldn’t get a server to boot last week.

Somewhere between scheduling and actually driving down (half a day later), someone came to work that understood how the power button works, but didn’t bother to let anyone know that it was already booted back up and working.
